Downtown Floral City is recognized as an historic district. Drive down Orange Ave. (CR-48) known as the Avenue of the Oaks with it's canopied trees. Visit the Floral City Heritage Museum to learn more about Floral City's history and look for souvenirs in the museum country store.
Visit Floral Park which has a disc golf course, one mile paved path, basketball court, tennis courts, racquetball courts, shuffleboard, children's playground, picnic tables, barbecues, and two covered pavilions. Dog walking is allowed on the paved path.
Going through Floral City is the 46 mile long Withlacoochee Trail. Many like to bicycle ride this trail which has many places to stop along the way to rest and enjoy the local eateries and stores.
For fishing and boating there is the Tsala Apopka Chain of Lakes and also the Withlacoochee River. There are three county maintained boat ramps in Floral City.
The first weekend of March is the Floral City Strawberry Festival at Floral Park where people come from all over to enjoy this annual event. There are over 150 crafters and vendors from all over the U.S. Don't miss trying all the delicious strawberry desserts. There is a large tent where you can sit and enjoy the all day entertainment. There are also lots of children's activities.
